Anthony and I met while working at an elementary school in Queens, New York. Anthony was a new special education teacher, while I was working at P.S.306 as a second grade teacher. Anthony was hired in the middle of the school year (which is unheard of), and I was one of the support teachers who was assigned to help him transition to our school. Shortly after meeting, we realized we lived in the same town, only eight blocks away from each other in Farmingdale, Long Island. We started commuting to Queens every day, and talked about everything. Anthony made me feel so comfortable, it seemed as if I met my long lost best friend. One day after work, we got a quick bite at our favorite pizzeria in Farmingdale. We talked all night, and stayed until they kicked us out. Anthony and I immediately felt as if we were meant to be, and very quickly fell in love with each other. Anthony's mom had passed away, and my dad had passed away, we bonded over loosing a parent and felt our parents brought us together. There were many attributes about Anthony that resembled my father. After a few months of dating, we moved in together. We got engaged a year after that, in Disney World in front of Cinderella's castle. This past June, as the school year came to an end, we celebrated our love by getting married on the first day of summer! June 21, 2019 was the most magical day for us!
